KARACHI: Man sentenced to death

KARACHI, June 16: The additional district and sessions judge, West, Mohammed Sagheer Rana, sentenced on Monday a man to death for two times for murdering two brothers 12 years ago.

The judge also imposed a fine of Rs600,000 on Farid Noor Mohammed, who had shot dead Abdul Khaliq and Abdul Malik on April 14, 1991, within the limits of the Dock police.

The convict, who was booked in the murder case on the complaint of victims’ father Abdul Hameed, will have to undergo an eight-year term in case of default on the payment.

Farid Noor Mohammed, neighbour of the complainant, had a quarrel with the victim brothers over dumping of garbage.
