KARACHI, June 16: Two ships, Stolt Falcon and Bow Lady carrying edible oil and chemicals were berthed at Multipurpose Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal during the last 24 hours, says a PQA press release on Monday.

Meanwhile, three ships with edible oil and chemicals also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Berth occupancy was maintained on the higher side as seven ships, Francisca Schulte, Mary Laki, Stolt Falcon, Uranus-7, Gulf Lion, Bow Lady and Navios Galaxy were busy in loading/offloading containers, wheat, edible oil, furnace oil, chemicals and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 29,415 tons comprising 23,950 tons of import cargo and 5,465 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailings were also active as Boon Trika Naree, Navios Galaxy, Francisca Schulte, Uranus-7 and Gulf Lion departed, while Entalina, Fair Mare, Qem Star, New Setokaze and Sun Crystal were awaiting berths at the outer anchorage.

Another container ship, Safmarine Vinson was due to arrive at the port.
