KARACHI: 106 vehicles taken away last week

KARACHI, June 15: Bandits, either hijacked or stole 106 vehicles, 43 cars and 63 motorcycles, in different localities of the city, during the past one week.

The police said 24 cars were hijacked and 19 others stolen in various areas, including Saddar, Ferozabad, Tipu Sultan, North Nazimabad, Defence Housing Authority, Clifton, Gulshan-i-Iqbal and others.

While fifteen motorcycles were taken away at gunpoint by the bandits and 48 others were stolen in several areas, including Azizbaad, New Karachi, Saddar, Korangi, Soldier Bazaar, Kharadar, Al-Falah, Frere, Orangi Town, SITE, Buffer Zone, Baghdadi, etc.

The police also claimed to recover 28 stolen cars and 32 motorbikes during the last week.

BODY FOUND: Body of an unidentified man was found in Chakiwara, Lyari, on Sunday.

Police said that the young man, in his thirties, seemed to be a drug addict.
