KARACHI, June 15: A robber was killed with the bullet of his accomplice during a dacoity bid in Gulshan-i-Iqbal on Sunday.
Police said that two suspects came to the general store of Abbas Akhtar in Block 13-D of Gulshan-i-Iqbal and robbed Rs39,000. When the shopkeeper tried to resist their attempt, one of them opened fire hitting his accomplice in the head. He died on the spot, while the other suspect escaped along with the cash, leaving behind his motorcycle (RNK-1109).
Police said that the dead suspect was identified from his identity card as Atiqur Rehman, resident of Rahimyar Khan. His body was shifted to the JPMC for post-mortem.
SUICIDE: A young girl committed suicide in her house in Korangi.
Police said that Lado, 12, was found hanging from the ceiling fan in her house, when her brother returned home on Sunday evening. Her parents were also away for work.
