Saudi investors arrive

ISLAMABAD, June 10: A six-member Saudi business delegation led by Walid Al Saygh, vice-chairman of Kanooz Group, arrived here on Tuesday to explore investment opportunities in Pakistan.

An official statement said the visit of the delegation has been arranged on the instructions of Prince Abdul Aziz Meteb Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud.

The delegation will stay in the federal capital for three days. It will have detailed meetings with Industries and Production Minister Liaquat Ali Jatoi, Privatization and Investment Minister Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh and prominent businessmen for discussing the proposals for joint ventures and investment in the industrial projects in Pakistan.

The team members are likely to also call on Prime Minister Zafarullah Khan Jamali and apprise him of their investment plans in Pakistan.

ICA chairman Ali Nawaz Shaikh is actively associated with Kanooz Group for establishing relationships with the public and private business sectors in Pakistan for promoting business in the interest of the visiting delegation, the statement said.
