KARACHI, June 9: Eight ships carrying containers, steel coils and sugar for Afghanistan are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was relatively slow owing to delay in the arrivals of incoming ships. Four ships, Min He, Iwato, Commo-jc-Jimenez, to offload and load containers and Al-Fatem to load ethanol were berthed after the departure of six ships.

The ships, which departed included Ocean Genius, Marylaki, Annie Sierra, Sorena, Panos-G and Bow Wallaby, while Chitral, Commo-jc-Jimenez, Kota Wangsa, Iwato, Al-Fatem and Min He are due to sail out on Tuesday.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: Mar Challenger, MOL Sincerity, CMC Pearl, Al-Manakh and Sima Bahar, with containers, Tarpon Santiago and Guang Humna, with steel coils and Mercs Kandy, with 3,850 tons of imported sugar for Afghanistan.
