KARACHI, June 8: A man, who had been impersonating a reporter of Dawn, was arrested late Saturday night.
Mohammad Rashid Khan, possessing a fake identity card of Dawn, arrived at the office of the DSP Jamshed Quarters, Shad Ibne Masih, for some personal work. However, the DSP found that Rashid was not an employee of Dawn and it was his modus operandi to defraud people in the name of the newspaper.
An FIR No.129/2003 for impersonating was registered and he was put behind the bars. Rashid confessed that he had been fleecing people on a promise that their news would appear in the newspaper.
