By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, June 7: A policeman was found dead outside his house in Baloch Colony police limits on Saturday morning.

Police said that Sub-inspector Mohammad Saleem, resident of Allawali Colony and posted as investigation officer at PS Mehmoodabad, was strangulated to death with a noose round his neck.

Police picked up the widows of Saleem, as both had been accusing each other of killing their husband. Police said that Saleem had married Zarina four years back and had a daughter, while the first wife of Saleem had seven children.

After the autopsy, the body was handed over to Saleem’s brother for burial.

ACCIDENTS: Arif, 25, was knocked down to death by an unidentified vehicle on Super Highway. Sachal police sent it to a hospital for autopsy.

In another accident, a 50-year-old man died on the National Highway, when an unknown vehicle hit him and sped away. The man was taken to a hospital for autopsy, where his identity could not be ascertained. The body was later shifted to Edhi morgue for identification.
