KARACHI, June 2: Chief of Muttahida Qaumi Movement Altaf Hussain has lauded efforts of the Sindh government in eliminating the so-called no-go areas, according to a press release.
He urged the governor and chief minister to take appropriate measures for the rehabilitation of those people who were forced to leave their homes.
He emphasized the need for providing basic facilities, such as water, power, clean water, etc., to these people who, he said, were forced out of their homes at gunpoint.
He renewed his amnesty offer to those who had joined Haqiqi under duress.
PPI SUPPORT: A delegation of Punjabi-Pukhtoon Ittehad, led by its chairman, Malik Sikandar Awan, on Sunday had a meeting with Senior Deputy Convener of MQM Co-ordination Committee and a candidate for NA-255, Dr. Farooq Sattar and assured him of full support on behalf of Punjabi and Pukhtoon community in bye-polls, adds PPI.
Speaking on this occasion, Awan said that Pujabis and Pukhtoons residing in Karachi had been used since decades, but now they have realized their true friends.
Dr. Farooq Sattar lauded their support and said that Altaf Hussain wants that poor and oppressed people elect their leadership amongst themselves so that their rights could be protected.
