KARACHI: SSC part II results tomorrow

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, May 31: The Board of Secondary Education Karachi, would declare the results of SSC part-II (class X), general group (regular and private) annual examination-2003, on Monday, said a notification.

Contrary to what has been its practice for the past some years, the BSE would not hold any session to present details of the results and introduce the position holders to the press.

When contacted a board official said that copies of the results would be handed over to media people on Monday at 8.30am at the board office, but the board would not arrange an interview session with the media at any place.

“It is a hectic exercise for the board to first announce the results and contact the position holders urging them to be at the Karachi Press Club, and then ensure the presence of the boards chairman, secretary and controller there,” the official added.

An insider said that since the press and students turned critical of the board and its system of examinations, the authorities had decided to do away with the interviews.

In the meantime, a group of newsmen have planned to hold the introduction and interviews of the position-holders at the Karachi Press Club. The group has advised the candidates who secure positions in the humanities group examinations to report for a combined interview at 11am.
