KARACHI: Gadap town budget

KARACHI, May 30: The Nazim, Gadap Town on Friday presented Rs444.85 budget for the financial year of 2003-04 before the Town Council at a meeting, presided over by Naib Nazim Abdul Sattar Jokhio.

The town administration is expected to receive Rs 63 million urban octroi and another amount of Rs 201.68 million rural octroi from the City District Government of Karachi (CDGK) as its share received from the federal government and Rs 5 million as its share in the property tax, collected by the Sindh government.

The other sources of income of the town will be water taxes, parking fees, bus terminal fees, rent of building and others.

In his speech, the Town Nazim said Rs4 million have been earmarked for purchase of vaccines for Hepatitis B and C. An amount of Rs 500,000 has been earmarked for scholarship.—APP
