Unutilized quota

KARACHI, May 27: The Directorate of Textile Quota Management (TQM) of Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) said Tuesday that exporters are allowed to avail carryover of unutilized quota of the year 2002 into 2003.

According to TQM, the carryover quota is allowed for USA, Canada, EU and Turkey.

For the US, the categories are 219, 237, 239, 313, 314, 331, 335,340, 341, 342, 359 (C), 625, 626, 627, 628, 629, 638/9 and 647/8.

For the EU, categories are 1, 2, 2A, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 26, 28, and 39.

For Canada, 10-A, 8-A, 2, 9, 3/4-A, 41-A, 41-B and 42-A.

For Turkey, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6.

The decision in the remaining categories for carry-over will be announced after the clearance of Commerce Ministry and information received from concerned importing countries.

These are categories 315, 317, 334, 336, 338, 339, 347, 351, 352, 360, 361, 363, 613, 615, 666(S) and 666(P) for USA.—APP
