Talking to a group of reporters in the provincial metropolis he stated that the prime minister was requested to release the Rs2 billion fund, which he had announced during his last visit to Quetta for drought-affected districts.

The minister claimed that Mr Jamali had promised to release Rs1 billion during the current fiscal and the remaining amount in the next financial year.

He informed the reporters that the prime minister had also assured to grant Rs250 million before the end of fiscal year 2002-03 for the gas supply to Ziarat and Kalat areas.

About the bus stand, he said that it would be shifted to Hazarganji site by the end of June.
