Seed cotton yield

KARACHI, May 9: The Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock (MINFAL) has chalked out an action plan for developing better seed cotton yield and adaptation of Integrated Pests Management (IPM) programme in Sindh.

In a high-level meeting held recently at the Central Cotton Research Institute, Sakrand, under the chairmanship of Dr Qadir Bux Baloch, cotton commissioner, MINFAL, important decisions were taken for achieving the goal.

It was strongly felt that for achieving the set goals dedicated efforts of researchers and farmers would be needed.

Dr Ahmed Ali Baloch, director, Central Cotton Research Institute, Sakrand, gave briefing on cotton production plan of Sindh for 2003-04 crop and suggested various measures to get bumper cotton crop in Sindh.
