APNS team meets Rashid

ISLAMABAD, May 7: The federal minister for information has assured the APNS that the government does not seek confrontation with the press and it would continue to pursue cordial relations with the media.

The minister held a meeting on Wednesday with an APNS delegation led by its president Arif Nizami.

The delegation discussed matters relating to Press-government relations and in particular the new media policy of the government.

The minister gave an assurance to the delegation members that the distribution of government advertisements to newspapers would be equitable and transparent.
