KARACHI: Police kill two suspects

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, May 5: Two suspected car hijackers were shot dead late Monday night in Buffer Zone, in what the police claimed an encounter.

The police said four suspects intercepted Khurram near Ziauddin Hospital in North Nazimabad, hijacked his car (AAF-098) and sped away. Khurram immediately reported the matter to the police.

The Sir Syed Town police spotted the car in sector 16-A and signalled it to stop. Instead, the occupants of the car fired at the police and attempted to escape. The police returned the fire. As a result, all the four suspects were wounded. Two of them escaped.
