GCC investors

KARACHI, May 5: Mohamed Abdullah Amir Al-Falasi, Consul General of UAE, Mohammed Hassan J. Al-Jabir, Vice Consul of the State of Qatar and Aqeel Ahmed Al Jaseem, Secretary General of Islamic Chamber of Commerce visited the Karachi Stock Exchange on Monday, a KSE press release stated.

Mr. Firozuddin Cassim, chairman, KSE, and members of the board received the dignitaries.

Also present on the occasion were past chairman & presidents of KSE and the sitting chairman of Lahore Stock Exchange, Group Captain (R) Naeem A. Khan and chair-man Islamabad Stock Exchange, Chowdhry Mohammad Sharif.

Mr. Moin M. Fudda, Managing Director, KSE gave a presentation on the performance of the KSE.

He pointed out that the Karachi bourse was still the best performing stock market on year on year basis. The factors included high liquidity, unparalleled dividend yields and strong corporate governance measures, the KSE press release said.

The chairman, KSE, was stated to have called for investment from GCC countries and urged visitors to encourage interest of larger corporations to invest in best yielding scrips at the market.
