KARACHI, April 30: Director, Evening Programme, University of Karachi, on Wednesday announced that admission process for the evening programme would begin from May 10 and continue till 24th.

This year, five programmes would be offered for the Bachelors degree and 23 for the Master’s degree in the faculties of Science, Arts, Commerce and Pharmacy. Apart from these, three certificate and eight diploma programmes would also be offered this year, the announcement said.

The new subjects being offered this year, for the two-year Masters programme, included Economics and Finance, Sociology and Political Science, while four one-year diploma or certificate programmes in Special Education, Economics and Finance, and International Relations were also being offered, it said.

The admissions will be on entry test basis in B Pharmacy and BSc, Food Sciences and Technology, Public Administration, Actuarial Science and Risk Management and Masters in Public Administration, Applied Physics, English and Commerce.

In the rest of the departments, merit for the admissions will be determined on basis of marks in the qualifying examinations.

According to the university rules, minimum 45 per cent marks are a prerequisite for admission, while 60 per cent marks are required for admission in Pharmacy in the last examination passed from any recognized university or board in any Year.

FORMS AND FEES: The KU examination department, on Wednesday announced fees and forms schedule for the BSc Physiotherapy, additional certificate course, part-II, annual examination, 2003.

According to the notification, examination forms will be accepted up to May 14 with a fee of Rs1500.—PPI
