Hafeez and Kashif shine

LAHORE, April 20: A superb opening partnership of 144 between skipper Mohammad Hafeez and Kashif Siddique enabled PCB Whites beat PCB Greens by nine wickets in the other trial match at LCCA Ground on Sunday.

Hafeez  opted to retire after making 75 with  13  boundaries off  90  balls  while Kashif scored 54 as PCB Whites achieved their target of 233 in only 42.3 overs. It was PCB Whites’ third consecutive victory in the series.

Kashif hit six fours and a six in his 65-ball knock. Aamir Sajjad  (41 off 51 balls with three fours) and Asif Hussain (43 off 55 balls with five fours and two sixes) led their side to victory.

Earlier, Naved Latif smashed 72 at run-a-ball and Khaqan Arsal hit exactly 50 off 80 deliveries that took PCB Greens to 229 for nine in 50 overs after Moin Khan elected to bat first at the toss. Naved laced his knock with seven fours and two sixes. Khaqan struck three boundaries.
