KARACHI, March 24: Five ships carrying containers, palm oil and steel coils are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where seven ships were berthed. They are: Izumo, Lamphun Navee, Tai He and Iron-D to offload and load containers, Makhachala to load naphtha, Fu Yu Shan to unload general cargo and Nur Yanbu, to offload chemicals.

Sailing was also active as five ships, Med Keelung, El-Greco, Spectrum, Naga and Mina departed, while Nur Yanbu, Lamphun Navee, Kota Waris, Thore Mette, Izumo, Makhachala and Iron-D are due to sail out on Tuesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was relatively slow where a total tonnage of 40,937 tons comprising 8,045 tons of export cargo and 32,892 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: Bador, with 7,500 tons of palm oil, Oriental Tulip to load 2,700 tons of ethanol, Sima Bahar and Merkur Sea, with containers, Love Letter with 1,600 tons of steel coils.
