Pakistan, India to set up coastal security link

By Our Staff Reporter

ISLAMABAD, March 18: Pakistan and India have decided to establish a permanent communication link between Pakistan’s Maritime Security Agency and Indian Coastal Guards.

An official source told Dawn on Tuesday that the federal cabinet, which meets here on Wednesday, was expected to approve a summary to this effect submitted by the ministry of defence. Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali will preside at the meeting.

The meeting would also consider another summary of the defence division on the ratification of Article 50(a) of the international convention on civil aviation organization.
