LAHORE, March 17: Three goals by Zahid helped Peshawar University beat Gomal University 11-0 in the All-Pakistan Inter-varsity hockey championship Zone ‘A‘ on Monday.

Sajid and Khalid also added two goals each. Irshad Danish, Waqar, Mumtaz Ali and Zubair chipped in with one goal apiece.

Goals by Mubashar and Mussarat Jawaid guided Agriculture University, Faisalabad, beat Agriculture University, Peshawar 2-0.

University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore, edged past Engineering University, Peshawar 2-1. Usman Khalid and Rizwan scored a goal each for the winners. Mohammad Faheem scored the consolation goal for the losers.

Punjab University defeated Quaid-i-Azam University 5-1 with goals from Rana Waqas (2), Asif Fayyaz (1) and Shahbaz (1). Kamil score for the losers.
