Budget measures
HONG KONG, March 13: The Hong Kong government’s budget strategy announced last week will help significantly plug the deficit gap over the next 3-4 years if implemented fully, global rating agency Standard and Poor’s said on Thursday.
However, Standard and Poor’s noted that despite measures to reign in the budget shortfall, the question of a long-term fiscal model for Hong Kong remained unanswered.—AFP
