Service structure sought


PESHAWAR, March 12: Directors of physical education (DPE) and librarians have appealed to the provincial government to provide them with a proper service structure.

A press release issued on Tuesday, stated that a delegation of DPEs and librarians met NWFP Assembly Speaker Bakht Jihan Khan to discuss problems related to their service.

The members of the delegation pointed out that while government employees in other provinces get promoted after a certain period of service, such a structure did not exist in the NWFP. The DPEs and librarians were do not get promoted but get retired in the same scale or grade.—Bureau
