Balochistan, Sindh to exchange outlaws’ lists

QUETTA, March 12: Sindh will exchange lists of criminals with Balochistan before conducting an operation against anti-social elements and dacoits in both the provinces.

This was stated by Sindh Home Secretary Syed Anwar Haider while speaking to newsmen here on Wednesday.

He said the Sindh government would soon launch a comprehensive operation against dacoits in Katcha area, which has become a hub of such elements.

“We will not spare any person involved in criminal activities,” Mr Haider said, adding that his government would provide basic facilities to the people of Katcha who were deprived of even basic amenities of life in the past.

The secretary said he would establish contacts with the Balochistan government for adopting a joint strategy to check criminals involved in different crimes at the border areas of the provinces. Border security officials of Sindh and Balochistan would hold regular fortnightly meetings to review the law and order situation in their respective areas.

Replying to a question, he said that all possible steps would be taken to maintain law and order in Karachi and other parts of Sindh.—Correspondent
