KARACHI, March 11: Five ships carrying general cargo and crude oil are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active because of steady arrival of foreign flag vessels. Six ships, Min He, Kota Waruna to unload and load containers, Bolan, Ganga Nagara, Le He and Beluga Independence, to unload an load general cargo.

Sailing on the other hand was slow as only two ships, Sima Bahar and Winter departed, while Naga, NCC Najran and Beluga Independence are due to sail out on Wednesday.

Cargo handling at the wharves was maintained the higher side where a total tonnage of 97,567 tons comprising 26,321 tons of export cargo including 676 tons of rice and 9,500 tons of molasses and 71,246 tons of import cargo was handled.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: Panos-G, with 65,000 tons of crude oil, Kota Teraju, Iron-D, Cape Henry and Budi Aman, with containers.
