Efforts on to increase exports to Bahrain

ISLAMABAD, March 7: Industries Minister Liaquat Ali Jatoi has said Bahrain offers great scope for auto-spare parts, heavy machinery units, sugar and cement plants, automobile items and other industrial goods being manufactured in Pakistan.

He said the government would provide all the facilities, and a comprehensive plan, in this regard, is being chalked out by Export Promotion Bureau.

He said as a first step to promote these items there, Pakistan would hold a single country industrial and trade exhibition in Bahrain in April this year.

At a meeting presided over by the minister, it was also decided that the industrial and trade fairs would also be organized in Qatar and Saudi Arabia in the next few months.

The meeting, attended by the representatives of private industrial sector, Chambers of Commerce of Industry of major cities, Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), international exhibition organizers of major chambers, was convened to discuss the broad areas and products for display that are necessary for the Bahrain exhibition.
