Oil exhibition


KARACHI, March 7: Secretary of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources, Mr Abdullah Yousuf, on Friday said POGEE should now become a regular national event in order to encourage the foreign companies to take further interest in the oil & gas exploration.

He was speaking to the participants of Pakistan Oil, Gas & Energy Exhibition, POGEE 2003 at the Karachi Expo Centre.

He said that POGEE 2003 will generate expert opinions from the energy sector professionals. He said that Pakistan’s energy sector has still a long way to go, and the exhibitors should focus on future and provide the growing industry with their expert advice.

Appreciating the efforts by the organizers, Pegasus Consultancy (Pvt) Ltd., Mr Abdullah Yousuf assured the organizers of the full support by the ministry for the organizing of its future events. He also added that POGEE would help in attracting investment in the vast energy sector of South and Central Asia where Pakistan enjoys the leading role for its significance in the region.

The next show of this sequel, POGEE 2004, would be held in March next year.
