KARACHI: Bandits kill man

KARACHI, March 4: Bandits shot dead a man in Malir late Monday night.

The police said armed men entered the house of Haji Faqir Mohammed, aged 60, in Goonga goth, Malir City. As the bandits were collecting valuables, he raised alarm.

The bandits opened fire on Faqir Mohammed and got away with valuables.

Faqir Mohammed died on the spot. The body was sent to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for post- mortem.

KILLED: A young housewife was found murdered at her house in Shershah on Tuesday.

The police said Naila, aged 30, wife of Mohammed Aleem, was found lying in a pool of blood with her throat slit at her house in Tanveer Hayat Building at Shershah.

Her three children were in school and her husband, a rickshaw driver, was away for work.

The body was sent to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for post-mortem. The police ruled out the involvement of bandits in the killing.

ELECTROCUTED: A young drug addict died of electrocution in Boat Basin.

The police said Mir Mohammed was electrocuted while stealing electric wire in Shireen Jinnah Colony in the police limits of Boat Basin.

The body was sent to the JPMC for post-mortem.

FIRE: Three vehicles were badly damaged when a fire broke out in an auto repair workshop in sector 11-B of North Karachi.
