Bridegroom dies on road

VEHARI, Feb 27: A bridegroom was killed and five other family members suffered serious injuries on Thursday in an accident on the Vehari-Burewala Road.

Bridegroom Pappo Chohan of Chak 196/EB along with his five family members was going to Sahiwal by his car. Near Sherin stop, a bus at high speed collided headon with the car. As a result, bridegroom died instantly while Sajida Bibi, Perveen Bibi, Nusrat Bibi, Kaneez, Munsab and driver Javed received critical wounds. They were admitted to the local DHQ Hospital.

Police have registered a case against the absconding bus driver. — Correspondent
