DHAKA, Feb 26: A Bangladesh Air Force FT-7 jet fighter caught fire on the runway of Zia International Airport as it was about to take off disrupting air traffic here for more than three hours on Tuesday afternoon.

The two pilots Squadron Leader Ahsanul Kabir and Flight Lt AAMM Shamsujjahan, ejected and escaped unhurt. An inquiry team has been formed to probe into the incident.
