SAHIWAL, Feb 19: One bus passenger was killed and four others were injured when two dacoits opened fire on a bus on the GT Road on Wednesday night.
A coach (LXC-982) was on its way to Multan. It had just reached the Harappa Bypass when two dacoits among the passengers held up the driver and made him stop the vehicle.
They had collected over Rs100,000 in cash and gold and were about to flee when a bus happened to pass by and its driver stopped to inquire about the matter.
The dacoits panicked and opened fire on the bus, killing Mohammad Ilyas and injuring Zafar, Baqar, Ahmed Din and Hamid.
