KARACHI: Teenager throttled to death

KARACHI, Feb 19: Unknown persons killed a boy in Lyari late Tuesday night.

Police said that Syed Naimatullah, aged 14, was throttled to death by unknown persons who had barged into his house in Agra Taj Colony, Kalri.

Police said that the young boy was alone in the house, his family being away in Quetta, when he was murdered. The victim resided on the first floor of an ice factory located on Ghausia Road. A relative of the victim lodged an FIR at the Kalri police station.

DIES: A housewife died of burns on Wednesday.

Police said that Allahrakhi, aged 50, suffered burns while working the kitchen in her house in Shah Faisal Colony No.3.

The victim was taken to the Civil Hospital’s burns wards where she died during treatment, police said.

In another incident, an elderly man died after suffering burns in his house in Paposhnagar on Wednesday.

Police said the man identified as Muhammad Iqbal, aged 71, was brought to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital with burns in a serious condition.

Shortly after his arrival the victim died during treatment. Police said the victim was making tea when he suffered burns.
