PESHAWAR, Feb 11: The Afghan refugees in Peshawar and other parts of the province celebrated Eidul Azha on Tuesday.

The main Eid congregation was held in open place at Katcha Ghari refugee camp, where more than 12,000 Afghans offered Eid prayers. After the prayers, the Afghan refugees sacrificed animals in their respective refugee camps in and around the city.

Despite living in Pakistan for more than two decades, the Afghan refugees have been celebrating Eid with the people of Saudi Arabia.

CLEANLINESS: The local administration has finalized a plan for the cleanliness of the city during Eidul Azha.

Town-I Nazim Haroon Bilor convened a meeting of sanitary officials here on Tuesday, and instructed them to dump the sacrificial animals’ waste in a place outside the city.

The Town-I Nazim has also formed a cell, which would work for 24 hours to clean the city, and has given phone numbers 2573272 and 0300-5932347 in case of any emergency.
