KARACHI: Abdullah J. Memon passes away


KARACHI, Feb 9: Abdullah J. Memon, former minister for water and power, died here on Saturday night. He was 63.

Mr Memon, a cousin of former information minister Nisar A. Memon, was a CSP officer from Sindh. He leaves a widow and a son. His funeral was held at Abu Bakar mosque in Clifton. He was buried in the Mewashah graveyard.

Soyem will be held on Monday —for men at Abu Bakar mosque and for women at D-56, Block 2, Clifton, between Asr and Maghrib prayers.

Sindh chief minister Ali Mohammad Mahar expressed grief over the death of Mr Memon. Sindh chief secretary K.B. Rind and Sindh information secretary Mehtab Akbar Rashdi also expressed sorrow over his death.—APP
