NSC to debate Iraq issue: PM

QUETTA, Feb 8: Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali has said that the Iraq issue would be discussed in the National Security Council and a consensus stand would be adopted on the conflict.

Talking to newsmen at the Quetta airport after his arrival on a two-day visit to Quetta on Saturday, he said: “It is an important issue and we will take it up at the NSC for detailed discussion in order to determine Pakistan’s stand on it”.

Responding to a question regarding President Musharraf’s recent visit to Russia, the prime minister said it turned out to be very successful, and will have a profound impact on the future relations between the two countries.
