PESHAWAR, Feb 8: The Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal government would revive the provincial inspection team which would investigate irregularities and corruption in the Zakat distribution system in the province.
This was stated by Chief Minister Akram Khan Durrani at a public meeting held at Daudzai on Thursday.
The team would also be assigned the task to investigate irregularities and corruption in other sectors, he said.
The chief minister assured the people that the government would bring to book corrupt elements and nobody involved in wrongdoings would be spared.
Mr Durrani said that the accountability process to be initiated by the provincial government would be transparent and above the board.
He said that the MMA government had accepted the challenges of removing social imbalances, resolving the people’s problems and providing relief to the neglected strata of the society.
EDUCATION: NWFP education minister Mulana Fazl-i-Ali said that the government had decided to utilise all non-development funds for the promotion of education, making it free of cost up to the matriculation level
