TOBA TEK SINGH, Feb 7: A girl committed suicide while a boy died in mysterious circumstances here on Friday.

Eighteen-year-old Asia Perveen committed suicide using the rifle of her father, Nazir Ahmad Mughal, in the nearby Chak 663-GB. She was said to be distressed by a dispute between her father and mother over the issue of her marriage.

The boy, Mohammad Akram, was found shot to death in the nearby Chak 392-JB (Chutala). The deceased worked for the army and was on leave these days. He had gone to see his aunt in Chutala.

His relatives informed police that the deceased was examining their revolver which fired and left him injured seriously.

He was admitted to the district headquarters hospital where he died.
