KARACHI: Manasarowar to Manora exhibition at Mohatta

KARACHI, Feb 7: An exhibition, titled “Images: Manasarowar to Manora (1830-1930)”, opened at the Mohatta Palace Museum on Friday.
The exhibition traces the roots of modern Pakistan to the 19th Century when many facets of its present identity — political, economic, administrative and architectural — began to take shape.
The exhibition captures the spirit of a tumultuous century between 1830 to 1930 by presenting a visual journey down the banks of the Indus.
It depicts important sites and cities along the river as they appeared at the time to foreign observers and visitors who followed the Indus from its source at Manasarowar in the Himalayas along its entire length until it debauched in the Arabian Sea.
The new museum timings are: Tuesday to Friday 11am to 7pm, Saturday and Sunday 12 noon to 8pm. The museum will remain closed on Mondays. Admission is free.
