An FIR was registered against the nine dacoits — Gul Hassan, Sohrab, Lal Dino, Jahano, A. Dino, Habibullah and three others whose names could not be ascertained.

Later, tribesmen blocked the Indus Highway between Khanpur and Kandhkot for two hours.
