KARACHI, Feb 6: A judicial magistrate remanded the central information secretary of the Mohajir Qaumi Movement, who was arrested a couple of days ago, in judicial custody on Thursday.
The police produced Sohail Hashmi, who was booked for possessing an unlicensed revolver, in the court of JM East Zabiha Khattak amid tight security.
The magistrate ordered the jail authorities to produce the Haqiqi leader before her on Feb 18.
CASE AGAINST LAHORI: An anti-terrorism court put off the hearing of a sectarian killing case against the chief of the banned Lashkar-i- Jhangvi and two others after recording the statements of three prosecution witnesses.

of the ATC-4, who is conducting the trial inside the Central Prison, fixed Friday for
recording further evidence in the case against Akram Lahori, Ataullah and Mohammed Azam.
The three accused are being prosecuted for killing Agha Abbas, owner of a juice shop, on May 25 last year at Nazimabad No 1 in the police limits of Rizvia Society.
The prosecution witnesses, Asghar Abbas, son of the victim, Sub-inspector Ateeq, and the medico-legal officer, who had performed the autopsy, were also cross-examined by the pauper advocate, Mohammed Ashraf Mughul.
The SHO of Rizvia Society police station appeared in the court and informed that the whereabouts of the complainant of the case could not be known despite best efforts.
The judge had issued bailable warrants for the arrest of the complainant on an application by special public prosecutor Maula Bux Bhatti.
BOMB BLAST CASE: Judge Feroze Mehmood Bhatti of the ATC-2 adjourned the hearing of a bomb blast case against a worker of the banned Harkatul Mujahideen Al-Aalmi.
The judge, who is conducting the trial inside the Central Prison, Karachi, fixed Friday for the next hearing of the case after an application seeking adjournment was submitted in the court on behalf of defence counsel Abdul Waheed Katpur.
Ahmed Daniyal was charged with planting two explosive devices in a building, where the Ismaili community were holding a function for their spiritual leader. One of the devices exploded, injuring a few people and damaging a few motorcycles.
