KARACHI Feb 6: Sindh education minister Irfanullah Khan Marwat said on Thursday that unutilized school buildings in Sindh would be properly utilized and the EDOs would submit a report of such “ghost” schools shortly.

He said if wrong information was provided by any EDO, he would have to face departmental action.

Presiding over a meeting of EDOs, the minister said that he would visit various districts after Eid-ul-Azha, and personally obtain information from elected representatives and local people.

The minister told the education officers to visit their respective districts and take action against absentee teachers.

Irfan Marwat said if there was a shortage of teachers in colleges and schools, they should give it in writing and such vacancies would be filled.

The EDOs apprised the minister about their problems and the minister assured that these would be solved.—APP/PPI
