KARACHI, Feb 1: More than half of the under-15 years of age children in the country are anaemic and significant malnutrition is prevalent among the local paediatric age group.
Speaking at a seminar on “anaemia in chronic renal disease” held at the NICH here on Saturday, they said anaemia and malnutrition, coupled with poverty, are generally in little position to avail proper intervention and lead a quality life.—APP
