Winter rains
BADIN, Jan 31: The district received the first showers of winter on Friday morning making the weather pleasant.
The rain started at 5:30am and lasted two hours.
The growers were happy on seeing the rain as it would prove to be a boon for their sunflower crops.
NAWABSHAH: Most parts of the district, including Nawabshah city, Daur, Bandhi, Sakrand, Qazi Ahmed, Sath Meel and Jam Saheb, received light rain late Thursday night.
The electric supply to several areas was suspended with the rain.
