DHAKA, Jan 30: Bangladesh’s former prime minister, Sheikh Hasina, was on Wednesday indicted for abuse of power in ordering the purchase of a squadron of Russian built Mig-29 fighter planes for the country’s air force.
Six others co-accused with the ex-prime minister include a former army chief, Gen Mustafizur Rahman, ex-chief of the air force, Jamaluddin Ahmad, and a former official at the defence ministry, Syed Yusuf Hossain.
