NAWABSHAH, Jan 30: The police on Wednesday booked 11 persons for burning trees in the forest near Daulatpur.

According to details, forest officer Mohammad Yunus Chandio had lodged an FIR with the Kishorpur police, stating that he, along with guards Haji Misri Dahri and Allah Wasayo Jamali, had gone to Nut Jagir No1 forests, located some two kilometres away from the police station and saw Urs Chandio, Abdul Jabbar Chandio, Yaqoob Chandio, Ali Mardan, Safar Jatoi, Soodo Jatoi and others, setting on fire 60 trees in compartments Nos. 1, 2, 3, and 4.

However, no arrest has so far been reported.
