Century Paper earns Rs131m

KARACHI, Jan 29: Century Paper & Board Mills Limited posted after tax profit at Rs131 million for the six months ended December 31, 2002, reflecting 25 per cent growth over the corresponding period of the previous year.

The Board which met on Wednesday also declared interim cash dividend at Rs1.50 per share (15 per cent). A press release by the company stated that the CEO, M. Rafi Chawla, expressed satisfaction over the company performance.

He said that the progress of the expansion project was going according to plans and trial production would be carried out before the end of current financial year.
