KARACHI, Jan 27: Three ships carrying chemicals, coal and diesel oil were allotted berths at Engro Vopak, Multipurpose and Fotco Terminals during the last 24 hours, says a PQA press release.

In the meanwhile, another ship scheduled to load and offload containers also got anchored at the outer anchorage.

Six ships, Msc Deila, S-Pioneer, Cido, Warbah, Najd and Mass Merit were busy in loading/offloading wheat, containers, chemicals, diesel oil and coal.

A cargo volume of 39,277 tons comprising 33,802 tons of import and 5,475 tons of export cargo, inclusive of cargo carried in 99 containers (Teus), was handled.

Sailing activity remained brisk as five ships, Jian She-36, Msc Oman, Deila, St Katharine and Ncc Najd sailed out.

Safmarine Kimley and Ievoli Shine were expected to take berths at QICT and Marginal Wharf.
