This enraged the accused who along with his friend Liaquat entered the house when she was alone. They overpowered her and axed her to death on the spot.

The police have registered a case against the two accused.

Mazhar of Shabbirabad and his friend Mushtaq were on their way home by a car. Near the Chenab College, the car rammed into a roadside tree when Mazhar tried to save a bicyclist who suddenly emerged on the road. As a result, Mazhar died on the spot while his friend received injuries. He was admitted to the Jhang DHQ Hospital in critical condition.

HUDOOD CASE: Kotwali police on Saturday registered a hudood case against 10 people, including three women, for abducting a schoolteacher from her house in the Civil Lines area of Jhang Saddar.
