PESHAWAR, Jan 24: The fog-bound Peshawar airport was reopened on Friday for domestic and international flights after a week-long closure, officials said.

Pakistan International Airline and other companies resumed flight operation to and from Peshawar and three flights arrived here on Friday morning.

Three international flights — PK-220, GF-780 and EK-464, coming from the Gulf states landed at the airport, while two domestic flights left for Karachi and Chitral, according to the local air traffic control.

Thick fog, which disrupted the public life, reduced the visibility at the runway following which the CAA had to shut

down airport for air traffic. International lights were diverted to Islamabad while domestic flights were cancelled completely.
